Say Anything Just Made My Day
Posted by pixie | Filed under Uncategorized
The beautiful thing about being me is, no matter how crappy my day may be, I can make a comeback pretty easily, so long as something appeals to me or pleases me. As such, Say Anything deciding to unleash the “Shiksa [Girlfriend]” video was enough to make up for a day I was about to write off as “wretched.” I mean, I still have to do laundry tonight… and I’m even kind of okay with that.
Because I am kind and benevolent, I shall share my video joy with you:
In other Say Anything news [because I am fountain of knowledge when it comes to these boys] the band will be playing a free show at Penn State on April 26th. And if you know anything about me, you know I am strongly considering going to this show. After all, the tour is wrapping up soon and since Alex Kent is going to be touring with his own band [admittedly briefly — May 8th-15th], chances are I should get in my Say Anything fix while I still can.

Say Anything is Teasing Me Terribly
Posted by pixie | Filed under Uncategorized
Lucky for them, I don’t mind being teased, so long as they deliver, which they will. What we have is a quick tease of the video from “Shiksa [Girlfriend]” — which looks super-cool. I honestly think this could be the video that ensures I never get to see these guys in a small venue again, because it looks really creative, the guys look gorgeous, and I could see people getting into this song.
Want to see what I mean? You’ll have to head here, because there’s no embed code. Apparently, we’ve gone back to the stone age.
I find it fabulous, though, that this is my first taste of this video comes the day after I was driving down the Taconic Parkway with this particular song blasting because let’s just say I could totally relate to said song, only in the reverse. Oh, and it was Max’s birthday yesterday, as well. Good times all around.
Hopefully we’ll have the whole video for the song by the end of the week, because I’m sick of waiting. It really does look like it will make up for the way the “Baby Girl I’m a Blur” video was underwhelming at best.

This Is Why I Love Max Bemis
Posted by pixie | Filed under Uncategorized
This is an old interview, but…
the fact that he is barefoot and petting a stuffed unicorn makes him damned near the perfect man in my eyes. Is it just me?
This is what happens when I start looking for the few unreleased songs I don’t have yet, and happen upon interviews that have been up for a while. You have to admit, this is 20 minutes of pretty amazing Max footage. Now if only I could convince him that he should marry me….
